Antique Boch Frères Keramis Covered Tureen – Hand-Painted – Burgundy & Floral Decoration – Belgium – Circa 1900
Description
Beautiful and elegant antique covered tureen produced by Boch Frères Keramis, La Louvière (Belgium), dating from circa 1900 (1895–1915).
This refined piece is entirely hand-decorated (“Décor main”), as confirmed by the handwritten inscription on the underside, and bears the authentic blue Boch Frères Keramis factory mark.
The tureen is decorated with finely hand-painted floral bouquets on an ivory background, framed by a rich burgundy (wine-red) glaze enhanced with extensive hand-applied gold decoration. The original lid features an elegant openwork finial and a notch for a serving ladle.
The scrolling side handles with green accents and the elegant pedestal base complete this remarkable example of high-quality Belgian ceramic craftsmanship from the beginning of the 20th century.
A highly decorative collector’s piece, ideal for both antique ceramic enthusiasts and interior decoration.
