Περιγραφή από τον πωλητή

Calcite var. Manganoan (UV) and var. Multigeneration with Quartz, Galena and Arsenopyrite from Trepča Mine, Trepča complex, Mitrovica, Mitrovica District, Kosovo.

An exceptional mineral specimen from the legendary Trepča Mine, Trepča Complex, Mitrovica, Mitrovica District, Kosovo, featuring a classic and highly desirable association of manganoan calcite, quartz, galena, and arsenopyrite.

The specimen displays attractive calcite crystals enriched with manganese, showing a distinctive appearance and a striking fluorescent response under ultraviolet light. The pale calcite crystals are beautifully contrasted by crystalline quartz and metallic sulphide minerals, including bright silver-grey arsenopyrite and lustrous galena. This combination creates a visually appealing balance between transparent, translucent, and metallic textures.

The mineral assemblage reflects the complex hydrothermal origin of the famous Trepča ore deposit, one of Europe’s most important and historically significant polymetallic mining districts. Trepča specimens are highly regarded by collectors worldwide for their exceptional sulphide associations, crystal quality, and unique mineralogical character.

A superb cabinet specimen combining fluorescence, classic mineral association, and outstanding provenance from one of the world’s most celebrated mineral localities.
