Natural Smokey Quartz Facet Grade with Multiple Terminations

This perfect specimen is a natural smokey quartz crystal displaying multiple well developed terminations and complex growth. The crystal shows strong architectural form with layered termination faces and good internal depth. The smokey colour is natural and evenly distributed, with high clarity.

The quartz is facet grade, with clean and transparent zones suitable for faceting or other lapidary work, while still retaining strong value as a natural mineral specimen and display crystal.

Provenance

This specimen comes from old family stock, stored for many years in our grandfather’s basement in Namak Mandi, Peshawar. He was an old time gem hunter and trader, and this piece remained untouched in storage for decades before being rediscovered. Early collected material of this quality is increasingly uncommon.

Natural and untreated
No repairs or enhancements, the back appears to be filed down possibly in extraction, there are scratches on some of the surfaces, but again doesn’t affect the inside which is perfect for any lapidary artist, could polish it also.
