Περιγραφή από τον πωλητή

Μagnificent cache pot, produced by Herend Hungary - “Rothschild Bird” collection, well known hand painted pattern with birds perched among branches and scattered insects, in pristine condition.

The manufactory in Herend was established by Vince Stingl in 1826. At first it produced stoneware. In 1839 this situated near lake Balaton factory was bought by Mór Fischer. This year they started manufacturing porcelain. Herend won a golden medal at the first World Exhibition in London in 1851. Next exhibitions became important for Herend factory as a venue to present new product lines. In 1872 Emperor Francis Joseph made the manufactory oficially the Supplier to the Imperial and Royal Court.

This pattern was first created in 1850 for the Rothschild family of Europe and is considered to be the epitome of hand painting on porcelain.
Twelve different motifs portray a 19th century tale about Baroness Rothschild who lost her pearl necklace in the garden of her Vienna residence.
Several days later it was found by her gardener, who saw birds playing with it in a tree.

It is in pristine condition, Like New-Never Used, marked with Herend blue shield mark on the back of the base, NO chips, NO cracks and NO repairs, please see the pictures as they are part of the description.

Height: 11 cm
Diameter : 15,7 cm

It will be very carefully and safely packed !

With love and respect for the porcelain - “ The White Gold ”
