Dimensions: 7 1/2" diameter x 1" (19 x 3 cm)
Manufacturer: Royal Tichelaar Makkum
Details: Part of a project titled 'Biscuit' from 2006 including nine different plates and five objects, including a vase, a box, candleholders and a lantern. This plate is "Day in Day out" which contains the usual Studio Job references which echo the motifs of other plates in the series set in deep relief on Biscuit Porcelain. A clown, an aeroplane, a button, a fork, skulls, bows, a dancing girl etc on the front with crosses and spermatazoa on the verso..The series was inspired by an antique machine in Makkum's factory, not used for decades, that could produce relief with greater depth. The designs were produced in very limited quantities in an unglazed, matte white finish. Blue maker's mark on back, "Studio Job, Makkum". This series is no longer in production. Plate is As New and Unused.
