Period : Goryeo Dynasty,Korea(918 - 1392) / 12C
Size : H5.6cm W8cm
Weight : 126g
A celadon oil pot fired during the Goryeo Dynasty.
The body features a bulb-like shape, widening at the base and tapering toward the top, and is topped with a tall, flared mouth.
The upper section of the body is decorated with numerous iron-painted motifs, believed to represent chrysanthemum petals.
The overall celadon glaze has a grayish hue, and the fine crackle pattern evokes a sense of age and refined character.
The base features a small foot rim, with traces of small fire-clay supports and stone-mark marks remaining.
While many surviving examples of such oil jars feature inlaid designs, this particular piece is a rare specimen decorated with iron painting.
*Condition
There is a fair amount of aging on the surface, though some areas still retain their sheen.
There is some deterioration around the rim area.
The shallow crack on the bottom occurred during firing and does not extend into the interior.
*Shipping method
We will ship by EMS.
The item will be wrapped in cloth, placed in a hard box, and then further packed in a cardboard box for shipping.
Shipping to Japan will be done via Japan Post's parcel delivery service(Yu-Pack).
