Elegant vintage brass umbrella stand – design in the shape of an open umbrella, Hollywood Regency, circa 1960–70
Elegant vintage umbrella stand made of brass, with a highly decorative design in the form of an open umbrella, a characteristic piece of the European Mid-Century style.
It stands out for its sculptural silhouette, with a conical segmented body that imitates the folds of an umbrella, topped by an upper structure with interior divisions to organize the walking sticks or umbrellas. The set is completed with a curved handle in a “crook” style, evoking classic umbrellas.
The brass gold finish provides a warm and sophisticated aesthetic, very representative of the 1960s and 1970s, when this type of objects combined functionality with a strong decorative value.
This type of umbrella stands was especially popular in France and Europe during the Mid-Century period, and fits perfectly in vintage interiors, classical or contemporary with character.
An ideal piece for foyers, entrances or spaces where a distinctive and elegant element is sought.
