Available for sale is a beautiful and highly valuable antique jasperware jug in the Art Nouveau style (Jugendstil),
made by the renowned German porcelain factory Schäfer & Vater (Thuringia, Germany). This stunning piece dates from approximately 1900–1910.
The jug features a classic sage-colored matte background, decorated with crisp white relief depicting elegant blooming irises—a characteristic floral motif of the Art Nouveau movement.
The true highlight of this piece is the exquisitely sculpted handle, skillfully crafted in the form of a slender, naked water nymph or maiden, whose body and flowing hair flow seamlessly into the rim of the jug.
The base of the jug is engraved with the model/shape number 3148 and the size/maker's mark 16, confirming its authentic German origin.
