Ichikawa Kozan is a ceramic artist of the Nabeshima Oniwayaki kiln, located in the historic porcelain village of Ookawachiyama, Imari City, Saga Prefecture, Japan. The Nabeshima Oniwayaki kiln holds the singular distinction of being the sole direct successor of the original Nabeshima domain kiln (鍋島藩窯), which was established in 1675 under the patronage of the Nabeshima clan to produce the finest porcelain in Japan exclusively as tribute gifts for the Tokugawa shogunate and feudal lords.

The Ichikawa family has maintained this prestigious lineage across generations, preserving the exacting techniques of Iro-Nabeshima (πολυχρωμία επίχρισμα), Nabeshima celadon (青磁), and Nabeshima blue-and-white (染付) — styles recognized as the pinnacle of Japanese ceramic artistry. The family is one of the very few permitted to use the Nabeshima clan's crest (杏葉紋, ginkyo-mon) on their works, a distinction reflecting their unique historical position.
