ΣΥΝΑΡΜΟΛΟΓΗΣΗ
Στη σειρά Assembly, χρησιμοποιώ τη γεωμετρική αφαίρεση ως γλώσσα για να απεικονίσω την ανθρώπινη εμπειρία μέσα σε μεγάλες πόλεις. Μέσα από συνθέσεις που πειράζουν τους όγκους, τις προοπτικές και τα blocks χρώματος, οικοδομώ οπτικά περάσματα που εξυμνούν τη μοντέρνα αρχιτεκτονική και τον ρυθμό της πόλης. Ωστόσο, αυτές οι γραμμές και τα επίπεδα δεν είναι άδειες δομές: αντιπροσωπεύουν χώρους συνύπαρξης, γωνίες τυχαίων συναντήσεων και τα αόρατα σύνορα που ενώνουν ή απομονώνουν εμάς στον αστικό περιβάλλον. Με τη διαπολιτισμική ενσωμάτωση διαφορετικών υλικών και τη θόλωση των ορίων ανάμεσα στην καλαισθησία και το επιφανειακό σχέδιο, το έργο μου μετατρέπεται σε ζωντανή σκηνή. Είναι μια πρόσκληση να παύσεις τον χρόνο και να κατοικήσεις τη γεωμετρία, μετατρέποντας το κρύο μνημειακό ύφος της πόλης σε ένα ζεστό χάρτη συλλογικής ταυτότητας, ενσυναίσθησης και της βαθιάς ανθρώπινης ανάγκης για σύνδεση.

Το έργο μου εντάσσεται στο πεδίο της σύγχρονης γεωμετρικής αφαίρεσης, όπου η δομή και η διαίσθηση συνυπάρχουν. Μέσα από κύκλους, γραμμές και επιπέδα χρώματος, εξερευνώ οπτικές σχέσεις που εναλλάσσονται ανάμεσα στην ποιητική οργάνωση της σύνθεσης και την αυθόρμητη κίνηση του γέρους.
Ενώ η πρακτική μου ακολουθεί τις αρχές της Bauhaus—σformal σαφήνεια, ισορροπία και χρήση της γεωμετρίας—διακρίνεται από την ενσωμάτωση gesture υφών που ενεργοποιούν τον αρνητικό χώρο. Αυτές οι υλικές επιφάνειες, δουλεμένες με μεγαλύτερη ελευθερία, δημιουργούν μια ένταση ανάμεσα στον έλεγχο και την εκφραστικότητα.
Αντιθέτως, ο θετικός χώρος δομείται μέσω ορισμένων γεωμετρικών σχημάτων—κύκλων, ελλείψεων, τριγώνων και χρωματικών επιπέδων—οργανωμένων με δομική ακρίβεια. Αυτά τα σχήματα λειτουργούν ως οπτικές μονάδες που παράγουν ρυθμό, ιεράρχηση και ισορροπία μέσα στη σύνθεση.
Η συνύπαρξη υφασμένων επιφανειών και αιχμηρών γεωμετρικών στοιχείων δημιουργεί έναν διάλογο ανάμεσα στην κίνηση και τη δομή. Το χρώμα, εφαρμοσμένο σε κορεσμένα και αντίθετα επίπεδα, λειτουργεί ως οργανωτικό στοιχείο που καθοδηγεί το βλέμμα και ενισχύει τη δυναμική της εσωτερικής κίνησης του έργου.
Σε διάφορες σειρές μου, θίγω θέματα όπως οι ανθρώπινες σχέσεις, μνήμη, μετανάστευση, πνευματικότητα και κοινωνικά ζητήματα, μεταφρασμένα σε μια αφηρημένη και συνθετική γλώσσα. Αυτές οι αναφορές δεν παρουσιάζονται κυριολεκτικά, αλλά ενορχηστρώνονται στη δομή της σύνθεσης μέσω εντάσεων, ισορροπιών και συνδέσεων μεταξύ σχημάτων.
Το έργο μου επομένως προτείνει μια σύγχρονη γεωμετρική γλώσσα που συνδυάζει τη μορφορική ορθολογικότητα με την εκφραστική ελευθερία, καλώντας τόσο μια αναλυτική ανάγνωση της σύνθεσης όσο και μια άμεση οπτική εμπειρία.

Biography:
Miriam Chiera is an Italian-Argentine contemporary artist based in Senigallia, Italy. She studied Interior Design at the Faculty of Architecture of the Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Argentina, and also studied art at the Verona Academy of Art, Italy.
She was born in a small town in Argentina, surrounded by vast expanses of countryside, to a family of Italian immigrant farmers. Although her roots are steeped in Italian culture, her art carries the spirit of the land where she grew up. Small marks and symbols are scattered across her canvases, interweaving cubism, constructivism and abstract geometry with the essence of her work: the language of color.
Surrounded by the immensity of nature, with infinite horizons and a deep sense of freedom, she found inspiration in large-scale creations. Although she studied Interior Design at the Universidad Nacional del Litoral, her path to painting began in her early years, it was during her residency in the city of Romeo and Juliet, where she studied at the Accademia di Arte in Verona, when she realized that painting was her true calling.
Miriam’s works have been selected to be exhibited in international competitions, galleries, museums and events.

Artist Statement:
A work of art is far more than a fashionable object, a fleeting trend, or a decorative element designed to solve a spatial issue. I create paintings with the hope that they become a window through which you can tell yourself a story-where the art interacts with your life in a meaningful way.
Each piece carries its own imprint, a soul, an energy that transforms it into a living presence within your space. My aspiration is for my art to move you, to evoke a desire to possess it, to immerse yourself in its essence, and to enjoy its company each morning as you stand before it.
