A truly exceptional vintage Omega Genève with an extraordinary original tropical dial

Offered here is a beautiful Omega Genève Automatic, reference 166.041, powered by the highly regarded Omega Calibre 565 automatic movement.

What makes this particular example stand out is its exceptional original tropical dial. The dial has developed a remarkable natural brown-to-purple tropical patina, with warm bronze and violet tones that change beautifully depending on the light. The patina is completely unique and gives this watch an unmistakable vintage character.

The dial retains its original Omega applied logo, applied baton markers, original Genève lettering and framed date window. The aging is particularly attractive and authentic, rather than looking artificially distressed.

The watch is fitted with its original-style 20-micron gold-plated case, with stainless-steel caseback, as confirmed by the original case markings. The gold-plated surfaces remain very attractive, with natural signs of age and use consistent with a vintage watch of this period.
