Takaoka Doki refers to the traditional bronze and metal casting industry centered in Takaoka, Toyama Prefecture, which began in the early 17th century under the patronage of the Kaga domain. Today, Takaoka Doki accounts for a significant portion of Japan's traditional metal casting output and is officially designated a Traditional Craft of Japan.
