Item Type: Hand-Finished WWII Wehrmacht Tiger I Heavy Tank Transport Wagon
Condition: Near Mint – Unique One-of-a-Kind Hand-Finished Collection
Quantity: 1
Detailed Description
This lot consists of one original Arnold N scale flat wagon that has been individually transformed into a unique WWII Wehrmacht heavy tank transport.
The 90 mm wagon carries a Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger Ausf. E (Tiger I) heavy tank together with a varied military supply load consisting of:
• Wooden transport crates
• Military supply and ammunition cases
• Barrels
• Wooden pallets
• Sandbags and additional equipment
The Tiger I was one of the best-known German heavy tanks of the Second World War and was transported by rail between operational areas. This project is inspired by documented WWII railway transport of Tiger I tanks, combined here with additional military supplies and equipment.
The original Arnold wagon was completely disassembled, carefully prepared, primed and individually airbrushed by hand. Historically inspired Wehrmacht colours from the WWII period were used throughout the project.
The Tiger I, wooden crates, military cases, barrels, pallets, sandbags and additional accessories were designed and produced using a high-quality 3D printer. Every single part was individually cleaned, primed, hand painted and permanently installed.
All 3D-printed models and components—including military vehicles, tanks, weapons, equipment and accessories—were designed and produced in N scale (1:160). Particular attention was given to maintaining proportions appropriate to the 1:160 scale throughout the project.
The Tiger I was individually painted with a dark hand-finished camouflage pattern and detailed with Balkenkreuz markings and turret number 122.
All wooden surfaces, sandbags and additional details were individually painted and assembled by hand. The arrangement of the tank, supplies and equipment was created specifically for this wagon.
All DR markings, Balkenkreuz markings, turret numbers and other decals were individually applied by hand. After completion, the wagon, tank and every detail were protected with a clear matte varnish to preserve the finish for many years.
This project is my own individual interpretation inspired by WWII military railway transport. It is not intended to represent or reproduce any specific historical train, transport or documented configuration exactly. The camouflage, markings, cargo arrangement and overall composition are individually designed to create a historically inspired but unique model.
The original Arnold wagon used for this project was carefully selected and was in excellent condition before the conversion. It was complete and undamaged, with all buffers and couplings present.
The Tiger I, cargo and all accessories are permanently fixed to the wagon and are not intended to be removed.
The completed wagon was individually assembled, inspected and tested on the track after completion. It rolls smoothly and operates correctly behind a locomotive.
This is not a simple repaint of a ready-made model. The wagon underwent a complete hand-finishing process involving preparation, priming, painting, assembly, decal application and final protective coating.
The entire project—from the original concept, through the design and printing of the 3D models and components, painting, assembly, decal application and final varnishing—was carried out entirely by me.
Many hours of careful manual work were invested in creating this model. It is not a factory-produced item but an original handcrafted project, making it a true one-of-a-kind collector’s item.
Please handle the model with care. Although all painted surfaces and details have been protected with a clear matte varnish, the handcrafted finish and individually installed details are more delicate than those found on factory-produced models. The wagon remains fully functional for use on an N scale layout.
Condition Note
Please note that the condition is listed as Near Mint solely because this project was created using an original Arnold wagon that was not factory-new. A carefully selected wagon in excellent condition was used as the foundation for this project. All hand-finished paintwork, 3D-printed components, detailing, decals and the final protective coating are entirely new and were created specifically for this unique model.
Please also take a look at my other auctions, where I offer additional handcrafted military wagon sets. Every project is individually created with different camouflage patterns, cargo layouts and details. I never produce two identical models—each one is completely unique.
Packaging
The original box is not included. The model will be carefully and securely packed to ensure maximum protection during transport.
