Vintage Brass Horse-Drawn Carriage Sculpture – Large 36 cm Equestrian Decorative Piece – c. 1960–1980
A striking and beautifully detailed vintage brass horse-drawn carriage sculpture, an impressive decorative piece celebrating the elegance of traditional equestrian travel. Dating approximately to the second half of the 20th century, c. 1960–1980, this substantial model measures approximately 36 cm in overall length, giving it excellent presence when displayed.
The composition depicts an elegant horse in motion, with one front leg raised, harnessed to a traditional enclosed carriage. The carriage itself is particularly attractive, featuring large open-spoke wheels, architectural detailing, window openings, a shaped roof and finely constructed shafts connecting it to the horse. The warm golden tones and naturally aged surface of the brass give the entire piece a rich and characterful appearance.
Beautiful from multiple viewing angles, this is an appealing decorative object for a traditional or eclectic interior and would make an excellent addition to a collection of vintage brassware, equestrian objects, carriage miniatures or decorative metalwork.
