Original oil painting on canvas. Unique work. Canvas entirely handmade. 80 x 80 cm. Signed by the artist. Certificate.
End of day in a commercial area. A teenage boy in a hooded sweatshirt waits in front of the illuminated counter of a fast-food restaurant, hands in his pockets, motionless. The entire left side of the canvas is empty: parking, streetlamp, low horizon line, a dark cloud suspended in a sky turning apricot.
The contrast makes all the difference: the warm lightbox on the right, the grand blue cold of the asphalt on the left, and this silhouette squeezed between the two. A Hopper of today, without displayed nostalgia—only waiting, the hollow hour, and the light falling.
Fine matter and blending in the skies, impasto reserved for neon and reflections on the pavement; the sidewalk perspective draws the eye toward the back of the painting.
Delivery information: The canvas is shipped rolled without a frame, carefully protected, placed in a reinforced rigid tube. This shipping method ensures optimal protection of the work during transport. The buyer can have the canvas mounted on a frame by a local framer according to their display preferences.
