Product Description*
This is an incense burner by Sano Kōsai.
It features an exquisite "Kiku-zukushi" (all-over chrysanthemum) pattern, with countless chrysanthemum blossoms intricately carved across the entire surface of the incense burner.
It boasts a dignified and beautiful form, supported by three legs that provide excellent stability.
The lid features intricate openwork carving, designed to allow the incense smoke to rise beautifully.

Sano Kōsai is a master craftsman of Takaoka copperware—skilled in casting, metalworking, and metal engraving—who is renowned for the honor of performing a demonstration before Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress. His incense burners are crafted using advanced techniques such as traditional lost-wax casting, intricate hand-engraving, and gold and silver plating; they are highly acclaimed as tea ceremony utensils, Buddhist ritual implements, and fine art objects.
