Elegant bedside table that can also be used as a side table, presenting a warm, refined finish with classic lines that are particularly easy to integrate into different interior styles.
The piece features a top drawer with a curved front and a bottom door opening to a storage space with a shelf. The rectangular top has softened edges and a nice framed detailing. The whole rests on a moulded plinth finished with small cut-out feet.
A provenance label is still present on the inside and bears the mentions “NF – C.T.B. Ameublement – meuble 305,” an interesting element indicating its manufacture.
Estimated period: circa 1960–1975.
Style: traditional French furniture / classic style, Directoire inspiration, typical of quality productions from the mid-20th century.
Wood: given the grain and finish, it is probably a piece of wood and wood veneer, with a cherry/mahogany stain finish. Without identifying the manufacturer or direct examination of the wood, it is preferable not to assert with certainty that it is solid hardwood.
The furniture is in very good overall condition, with light signs of use and aging visible especially on the top, consistent with its age. Its tall, narrow form makes it suitable as a bedside table, a small sideboard, or a storage piece.
