The protagonist of the composition is an elegant leopard, depicted while resting on a sumptuous chair with gold finishes, upholstered in petrol green fabric with floral motifs. The animal, portrayed with great realism, dominates the scene with its proud gaze and spotted coat.
The background is a rich tropical setting, with exotic leaves, large flowers, botanical details and gilded decorations that recall aristocratic and theatrical atmospheres. The deep palette, made up of forest green, petrol, burgundy, pink, gold and black, gives the panel a luxurious and enveloping charm.
