Περιγραφή από τον πωλητή
Elegant column on a pedestal, a finely crafted piece entirely made of veined alabaster from Volterra (Italy).
Scenographic, beautiful in form and appearance, the stone stands out for its extraordinary material quality, characterized by a suggestive creamy translucency and dense natural gray-anthracite inclusions, which create a rich and deep cloudy effect with a sinuoso flow.
Fully turned and shaped, it features an octagonal top plane with a beveled edge profile.
The central cylindrical shaft tapers with three protruding rings (collars) carved from solid material.
Beautiful stepped octagonal base, which geometrically echoes the design of the summit, ensuring formal and static stability.
Typical product of the late 19th century / early 20th century, it preserves the splendid original luster achieved through fine manual polishing of the natural stone.
A furniture accessory of timeless classicism, expression of that Tuscan master craftsmanship celebrated throughout Europe between the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Thanks to the superb contrast between the geometric rigor of its lines and the fluid naturalness of the veining, this column represents the ideal solution to enhance bronzes, marbles or vases of high antiquity, fitting with innate elegance both in historic interiors and in sophisticated contemporary interiors.
Divisible into 8 parts and assembled by a metal core.
Will be shipped with careful protection and is insured.
The column is 96 cm high, the upper capital (support plane) 22 cm, and the lower octagonal capital (base) 22 cm.
Cod. 307
