Dial and Hands
The exceptionally clean and vibrant dial features a striking blue sunburst finish that remains in excellent preservation, showing no visible moisture damage or significant spotting. Applied faceted indices display good polish, complementing the applied Seiko and LM logos. All printed text is crisp and intact. The baton style hands feature central white stripes and a clean metal finish with no visible oxidation or corrosion, perfectly matching the dial furniture.

Case and Crystal
The stainless steel case features a distinctive faceted cushion design with brushed top surfaces and polished flanks. It displays honest wear consistent with age, retaining strong original geometry while showing moderate scratches and minor dings on the edges and polished surfaces. A smooth polished bezel ring secures the crystal and shows light surface scratches consistent with the case. The unsigned knurled crown sits relatively flush with the case flank. The distinctive multi-faceted cut crystal exhibits several visible scratches and minor edge fleabites, which are particularly noticeable in angled lighting.

Movement
The watch is powered by the high-grade caliber 5216A automatic movement featuring 25 jewels. The clean movement plates and bridges present beautifully, and the rotor features distinctive red filled text. There is no visible corrosion, oxidation, or damaged screw heads. Strap

It is an original matching bracelet with appropriate character, showing moderate surface scratches and typical wear for its age. The bracelet accommodates a maximum wrist size of 17.5cm.

Condition
Good vintage condition. The movement was serviced on 23 August 2026 and, supported by the recorded timegrapher result, is performing very strongly. The vibrant dial and handset remain in excellent preservation. The case, bezel, and original bracelet show moderate scratches and minor dings consistent with honest use, while the original lines and geometry remain generally well-defined. The distinctive faceted crystal displays several visible scratches and minor edge fleabites.

The Seiko Lord Matic line was introduced in the late 1960s as a premium offering positioned just below the Grand Seiko and King Seiko tiers. Powered by the 5200 series calibers developed by Daini Seikosha, these watches featured higher beat rates and refined automatic winding mechanisms.
