Περιγραφή από τον πωλητή
Parker 51 Aerometric fountain pen in the highly elegant Midnight Blue finish, paired with a finely lined 1/10 12K gold-filled cap.
Dating to circa 1950, this is an early American Aerometric example distinguished by its characteristic long Arrow clip. No legible date code is visible on the barrel; the dating is therefore based on the model’s construction and period features rather than on an exact factory marking.
The exceptionally deep Midnight Blue Lucite body may appear almost black under subdued light, revealing its rich navy-blue tone under stronger or natural illumination. It creates a particularly refined contrast with the warm gold-filled cap, whose vertical line pattern remains clearly defined.
The pen is equipped with a hooded 14K gold nib and Parker’s Aerometric filling system with Pli-Glass ink sac. The filling mechanism has been tested and is working properly, and the pen writes well.
The fountain pen is preserved in very good vintage condition, retaining an attractive gloss and presenting only light signs of age and careful use. The cap shows superficial wear consistent with its age, without any major deformation visible. Please consult the detailed photographs, which form an integral part of the condition description.
Accompanied by a period Parker “51” presentation case with the distinctive “51” medallion. The case displays evident external wear, marks and ageing, while its interior remains visually appealing. As no documentary provenance is available, the case is described as period-correct and is not guaranteed to have been originally supplied with this particular pen.
A highly representative and commercially attractive configuration of one of the most iconic fountain pens of the twentieth century, combining Midnight Blue Lucite, a 1/10 12K gold-filled cap and the clean design of the early Parker 51 Aerometric.
