Conversations γεννήθηκε από μια περιέργεια για τις συναντήσεις. Εκείνες οι στιγμές που άτομα από διαφορετικά μέρη, κουλτούρες, εμπειρίες και διαδρομές βρίσκουν τον εαυτό τους να μοιράζονται τον ίδιο χώρο και, είτε σκόπιμα είτε απροσδόκητα, αρχίζουν να συνδέονται. Κάθε συνάντηση αφήνει ένα σημάδι. Κάθε ανταλλαγή αλλάζει με διακριτικότητα τον τρόπο που βλέπουμε τον κόσμο και τους γύρω μας.
Οι συνθέσεις αντικατοπτρίζουν την πολυπλοκότητα και την ομορφιά της ανθρώπινης συνύπαρξης. Κάποιες συνδέσεις είναι άμεσες και αβίαστες· άλλες είναι πιο διακριτές, ευάλωτες ή απροσδόκητες. Όπως στη ζωή, κάθε στοιχείο διατηρεί τη δική του ταυτότητα ενώ συμβάλλει στη δημιουργία ενός κοινού δημιουργήματος.
Conversations είναι μια γιορτή της διαφορετικότητας, της ανταλλαγής και της δυνατότητας εύρεσης κοινού πυρήνα πέρα από τις διαφορές μας. Είναι μια αντανάκλαση των τρόπων με τους οποίους οι ιστορίες μας διασταυρώνονται, διαπλέκονται και συνεχίζουν τα ταξίδια τους μεταμορφωμένα από την παρουσία άλλων. Μέσω της γεωμετρίας και του χρώματος, η σειρά επιδιώκει να κάνει ορατό το αόρατο υφάδι σχέσεων, διαλόγων και κοινών εμπειριών που μας συνδέει, reminding us that, in one way or another, we are all part of the same conversation.

Το έργο μου κινείται στο πεδίο της σύγχρονης γεωμετρικής αφαίρεσης, όπου η δομή και η διαίσθηση συνυπάρχουν. Μέσα από κύκλους, ευθείες και χρωματικά επίπεδα, εξερευνώ οπτικές σχέσεις που ταλαντώνονται ανάμεσα σε συνθετική τάξη και την ετοιμότητα της κίνησης.
Ενώ η πρακτική μου ασχολείται με τις αρχές Bauhaus—σαφήνεια της μορφής, ισορροπία, χρήση της γεωμετρίας—διακρίνεται από την ενσωμάτωση γεμμάτων με κιναισθητικά υφάσματα που ενεργοποιούν τον αρνητικό χώρο. Αυτές οι υλικές επιφάνειες, δουλεμένες με μεγαλύτερη ελευθερία, δημιουργούν ένταση ανάμεσα στον έλεγχο και την έκφραση.
Αντίθετα, ο θετικός χώρος κατασκευάζεται μέσω ορισμένων γεωμετρικών μορφών—κύκλους, ελλείψεις, τρίγωνα και χρωματικά πεδία—διοργανωμένους με δομική ακρίβεια. Αυτές οι μορφές λειτουργούν ως οπτικές μονάδες που生成 ρυθμό, ιεραρχία και ισορροπία στη σύνθεση.
Η συνύπαρξη υφασμένων επιφανειών και αιχμηρών γεωμετρικών στοιχείων θέτει έναν διάλογο ανάμεσα στην κίνηση και τη δομή. Το χρώμα, εφαρμοσμένο σε κορεσμένα και αντίθετα πεδία, λειτουργεί ως οργανωτικό στοιχείο που κατευθύνει το βλέμμα και ενισχύει τη δομική δυναμική του έργου.
Στις διάφορες σειρές μου, αναφέρομαι σε θέματα όπως οι ανθρώπινες σχέσεις, μνήμη, μετανάστευση, πνευματικότητα και κοινωνικά ζητήματα, μεταφρασμένα σε μια αφηρημένη και συνθετική γλώσσα. Οι αναφορές αυτές δεν παρουσιάζονται κυριολεκτικά, αλλά ενσωματώνονται στη συνθετική δομή μέσω εντάσεων, ισορροπιών και συνδέσεων μεταξύ μορφών.
Το έργο μου προτείνει έτσι μια σύγχρονη γεωμετρική γλώσσα που συνδυάζει θεσμική αυστηρότητα και εκφραστική ελευθερία, προσκαλώντας τόσο μια αναλυτική ανάγνωση της σύνθεσης όσο και μια άμεση οπτική εμπειρία.

Biography:
Miriam CHiera is an Italian-Argentine contemporary artist based in Senigallia, Italy. She studied Interior Design at the Faculty of Architecture of the Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Argentina, and also studied art at the Verona Academy of Art, Italy.
She was born in a small town in Argentina, surrounded by vast expanses of countryside, to a family of Italian immigrant farmers. Although her roots are steeped in Italian culture, her art carries the spirit of the land where she grew up. Small marks and symbols are scattered across her canvases, interweaving cubism, constructivism and abstract geometry with the essence of her work: the language of color.
Surrounded by the immensity of nature, with infinite horizons and a deep sense of freedom, she found inspiration in large-scale creations. Although she studied Interior Design at the Universidad Nacional del Litoral, her path to painting began in her early years, it was during her residency in the city of Romeo and Juliet, where she studied at the Accademia di Arte in Verona, when she realized that painting was her true calling.
Miriam CHiera's works have been selected to be exhibited in international competitions, galleries, museums and events.

Artist Statement:
A work of art is far more than a fashionable object, a fleeting trend, or a decorative element designed to solve a spatial issue. I create paintings with the hope that they become a window through which you can tell yourself a story-where the art interacts with your life in a meaningful way.
Each piece carries its own imprint, a soul, an energy that transforms it into a living presence within your space. My aspiration is for my art to move you, to evoke a desire to possess it, to immerse yourself in its essence, and to enjoy its company each morning as you stand before it.
