The PENTAX MV1 is a compact K-mount 35mm SLR built around straightforward aperture-priority automatic exposure, making it a simple and approachable camera for enjoying film photography without an overly complicated control layout. Paired with the RIKENON 50mm F2, it offers the classic standard-lens perspective that suits everyday scenes, street photography and portraits. The F2 maximum aperture also gives the lens useful flexibility for subject separation and lower-light situations. Together, the small body and 50mm prime create a traditional, lightweight film-camera combination with a very direct shooting experience. The camera and lens have been carefully inspected and tested in Japan.

There are some light age-related scuffs, but overall the set remains clean for its age.

Only fine dust is visible and the viewfinder remains clear overall.

There is a very small amount of fungus and slight haze. These do not affect normal photography, and the optics remain clear overall.
