Vintage Hand-Carved Natural Conch Shell Cameo Lamp – Female Figure with Swan – Glass & Metal Base
Description
Beautiful vintage table lamp made from a natural conch shell, finely hand-carved in cameo style.
The front shows a detailed classical scene with a female figure, a swan and floral/architectural decoration. The carving is worked directly into the natural layers of the shell.
When illuminated, the shell produces a striking warm glow in amber, orange, red and cream tones, beautifully highlighting the carved details.
The shell is mounted on a silver-tone metal base, set on a transparent hexagonal glass plate.
The lamp is in very good vintage condition:
* No cracks
* No chips
* No visible damage to the shell
* Fully functional
* Natural signs of age on the metal base
* No visible maker’s mark or country stamp
