Launched originally in the late 1960s, the "Star" series marked a pivotal era for Oris as they upgraded their technical movements and expanded their presence globally as a powerhouse of robust, reliable everyday timepieces. At its core is a high-grade elvețian automatic movement with 25 Jewels from 648 family, standard for this specific family, offering automatic winding, central sweep seconds, and an instantaneous date complication.
The Dial & Hands: The true highlight of this watch is its captivating multi-tone dial. It sports a dark blue perimeter that gradually fades into a lighter central tone (vignette effect), intersected by two sporty vertical silver tracks. The dial is adorned with applied three-dimensional block hour markers that capture the light beautifully. The classic baton hands and framed trapezoidal date aperture at 3 o'clock epitomize pure 1970s industrial design language.
