Περιγραφή από τον πωλητή

Elegant porcelain tureen by KPM Berlin (Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin), executed in the historic Neuglatt form.

The Neuglatt form, developed in 1769, is distinguished by its elegant flowing contours and refined Rococo-inspired relief. This substantial tureen is made of fine white porcelain and richly decorated with hand-painted floral bouquets in shades of purple and pink with delicate green foliage.

Fine purple Rococo-style ornaments and extensive hand-applied gilding accentuate the moulded contours, rim, foot and sculptural details.

The domed lid is crowned by an elaborate sculptural branch handle (Astgriff), decorated with moulded leaves, purple flower buds and fine gilded details. This distinctive handle, together with the gently undulating rim and floral decoration, gives the piece its particularly elegant and sculptural character.

The underside bears the original KPM Berlin underglaze cobalt-blue sceptre mark.
