Περιγραφή από τον πωλητή
Vintage Nowley twin-bell mechanical alarm clock, featuring the characteristic classic alarm-clock design with a large cream-coloured dial, bold black Arabic numerals, twin chrome-plated bells, curved carrying handle and angled metal feet.
The dial is clearly signed NOWLEY.
Nowley is a Spanish watch brand belonging to Industrial Martí de Relojería S.L., a family-owned Spanish horological company established in 1954 in Barcelona. The company originally specialised in the restoration of pocket watches and later developed its own watch brands, including Nowley.
Research into surviving examples also confirms that vintage Nowley alarm clocks from the 1960s and 1970s are present on the Spanish collector market, although documentation for this particular twin-bell model is limited.
Details
• Brand: Nowley
• Type: Twin-bell alarm clock
• Movement: Mechanical, manual wind-up
• Dial: Cream with large black Arabic numerals
• Case: Metal with chrome/silver-coloured finish
• Alarm: Mechanical bell alarm
• Design: Classic vintage / Mid-Century alarm-clock style
• Period: Most likely 1960s–1970s, based on comparable vintage Nowley alarm clocks
• Origin of brand: Spain
• Maker: Industrial Martí de Relojería S.L., Barcelona
The clock retains its original visual character, including the aged and tarnished finish to the metalwork. The bells, handle, feet, dial, hands and rear mechanical controls are all present.
Condition
The clock is offered in vintage condition, with visible signs of age and use including oxidation, tarnishing, scratches, marks and surface wear to the metal components. The dial also shows natural age-related discoloration.
The mechanical movement and alarm function have not been professionally serviced or independently tested, therefore functionality is not guaranteed. The photographs form an important part of the condition description.
A particularly attractive piece for collectors of vintage Spanish horology, mechanical alarm clocks and Mid-Century decorative objects.
