About the Artist

Sonia Anton is a Romanian Australian self taught artist based in Bucharest. Raised in the south of France in a creative environment, she was surrounded by art from an early age in her mother’s atelier. After living across Europe, Australia and Mexico, and working as a chef aboard superyachts, she returned to her passion for painting.

Her work combines abstract and figurative elements with expressive lines, vivid colours and symbolic forms. Sonia Anton’s artworks are held in private collections throughout Europe and internationally.
