Περιγραφή από τον πωλητή
Ένα υπέροχα σταθερό νεαρό ελέφαντα,caught mid-stride with his trunk curling back towards one front leg. His calm expression and gently lowered head make him look as though he has paused for a moment before continuing on his way.
Soft grey and taupe colouring brings out the folds around the legs, face and rounded body, with warmer shading to the ears and small touches of ivory at the tusks and toenails. He has plenty of presence without losing the quiet, gentle character that makes these early animal figures so appealing.
Royal Copenhagen has produced porcelain in Denmark since 1775 and became particularly admired for its naturalistic animal figures. Careful modelling and softly shaded underglaze colours allowed the factory’s artists to capture both the appearance and personality of their subjects.

Good antique condition overall. No chips, cracks or restoration observed. There is some uneven underglaze saturation across the body, creating visible mottling and tonal variation beneath the clear glaze. This occurred during manufacture and is not later surface wear. The figure otherwise presents well, with only light signs of age.
Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form part of the condition description.
Fully tracked and insured delivery.
Shipping cost includes professional packaging and careful handling.
Packed securely using recycled materials where possible.
