THE FOREST Art & Woodworking Studio — Unique Series
Offered here is an unique sculptural side table created from an original hand-hewn pine roof beam approximately 80 years old.
The timber was reclaimed from the roof structure of a historic building and still retains its authentic architectural joint, traditional wooden pegs, axe marks, natural cracks and deeply aged patina. Rather than removing these traces of time, THE FOREST preserved and reinterpreted them as the defining elements of the piece.
The result is a striking combination of functional furniture and collectible sculpture. Its strong geometric form and raw architectural character give it the presence of a small wooden totem, while its proportions allow it to serve as a side table, display pedestal or distinctive standalone art object.
Every mark, irregularity and colour variation belongs to the history of the original beam. These are not defects, but evidence of traditional craftsmanship, genuine age and the material’s former life within the building.
A unique example of contemporary collectible design based on responsible reuse, transforming historic construction timber into a refined luxury object.
