Σ Offered here are three bottles of the renowned Grand Vin du Château de Pommard 2011, an elegant Pinot Noir from one of Burgundy's most historic estates. Produced from a selection of parcels within the famous Clos Marey-Monge, the estate's monopole vineyard, this cuvée reflects the complexity and character of the Pommard terroir. The 2011 vintage is widely regarded as a classic, balanced year, combining freshness, finesse and excellent drinkability.
In the glass, the wine displays aromas of ripe red cherries, black cherry, redcurrants, dried rose petals and subtle spice, supported by elegant mineral notes. The palate is rich yet refined, with silky tannins, vibrant freshness and a long, savoury finish marked by a distinctive saline minerality. Professional tastings have praised its complexity and elegance, with scores reaching 91 points.
Now at an excellent stage of maturity, this wine pairs beautifully with roasted lamb, duck, game birds, mushroom dishes and aged cheeses.
