Elegant gilded umbrella stand with a bicorne eagle and heraldic decoration
Magnificent brass umbrella stand with a strong decorative presence, made in the second half of the 20th century and inspired by the elegant historicist and eclectic designs of the late 19th century.
The piece stands out especially for its spectacular relief heraldic decoration, featuring a crowned bicorne eagle framing a central shield. The ensemble conveys a noble and evocative aesthetics, very characteristic of the European decorative tradition inspired by history.
Its cylindrical body is worked in golden brass, with different moldings and profiles that add depth and elegance. The top part incorporates a delicately pierced band of geometric motifs, while the sides are adorned with small ornamental handles from which elegant rings hang.
The base, stepped and with rounded moldings, rests on small decorative feet that complete the ensemble. The combination between the brass’s golden shine, the heraldic relief, and the pierced work makes it an especially attractive piece even as a purely decorative element.
Its manufacture dates to the second half of the 20th century, with a precious design of historicist and eclectic aesthetics from the late 19th century, recovering heraldic motifs and ornamental forms typical of that era.
