Descending. Trench-coat, chapeau mou, hands in pockets, he takes the stairs leading to the stern deck. At the bottom, the opening opens directly onto the sea, and the sea is rough.
A porthole above cuts a shaft of light across the bulkhead. He does not turn back. We will not know if he goes out for air or goes further than that.
Geometry held to a string: riveted sheets in chalky yellows, stairs in shadowy blues, sea in greens and turquoise knife-edged. The whole tableau rests on the contrast between the rigidity of the ship and the disorder of the water.
Le Yack, pop and emerging street-art artist, French. Alexandre Pelletier, called Le Yack, was born in 1972 in Tours. During his studies, he entered the École Supérieure d’Art et de Design (ESAD) d’Orléans. He is a art director in publishing and the web. Instagram @leyack45. He is exhibited in a network of about forty galleries in France, Germany, Belgium, the United States.
