Brand: Omega
Model: Constellation
Reference Number: ST 168 017 SP
Serial Number: 26421243
Movement: Automatic chronometer, Caliber 564, 24 jewels
Dial: Silver with vertical brushed finish and black-inlaid indices
Case Size: 34 mm (excluding the crown)
Case Material: Stainless steel
Production Year: 1968
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Timegrapher: +1+5s/day, performing remarkably well.
Dial and Hands
The pristine and highly legible silver dial showcases a distinct vertical brushed finish that interacts beautifully with the light. The applied Omega logo, Constellation star, and faceted indices with black inlays remain crisp. All printed text is fully intact with no visible loss, and there is no significant spotting, staining, or moisture damage present. Clean and matching black baton hour and minute hands perfectly complement the indices, accompanied by a straight and clean sweep seconds hand showing no visible corrosion or significant wear.
Case and Crystal
The stainless steel C-shape case is sharp and well-preserved, featuring brushed top surfaces that transition cleanly to polished flanks. The integrated smooth brushed bezel shows only light handling marks without any deep dents or dings. The case edges remain distinct, displaying light superficial scratches consistent with careful wear. On the reverse, the caseback observatory medallion is remarkably crisp, with all stars clearly visible. The interior of the caseback is correctly stamped ACIER INOXYDABLE and ST 168 017 SP. The watch retains its original domed acrylic crystal, which is clear of significant scratches or crazing and features the tiny Omega logo etched in the center. The scalloped crown is signed with the Omega logo and retains well-defined grooves.
Movement
Inside the case beats the Omega Caliber 564, an automatic chronometer movement featuring 24 jewels and adjusted to five positions and temperature. The movement's copper-colored plating is bright and intact, with clean bridges and a clean rotor. There is no visible corrosion, oxidation, or significant tool marks on the caliber itself, though some minor dust particles are visible on the case edge outside the movement seal. Engravings read OMEGA WATCH Co SWISS, TWENTY-FOUR 24 JEWELS, and ADJUSTED FIVE (5) POSITIONS AND TEMPERATURE. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece. The timegrapher records a strong rate of +1+5s/day.
Strap
The watch is fitted with a black leather strap featuring Omega branding on the inner lining. It secures with a stainless steel pin buckle signed with the applied Omega logo. This branded strap is in excellent condition, showing minimal signs of wear.
Condition
Excellent vintage condition. The dial is exceptionally clean, while the C-shape case retains sharp edges and excellent contrasting finishes. The original crystal and crisp caseback medallion further highlight the careful preservation of this piece. Supported by excellent timegrapher results, the chronometer movement is performing brilliantly.

The case measures 34 mm (excluding the crown).
Remarks
This Constellation offers an outstanding combination of the renowned Gerald Genta case geometry, an exceptionally clean vertically brushed dial, and a strong-performing Caliber 564 movement.
