Get your hands on this serviced June 1968 Seiko 5 ref. 5126-8050 with silver sunburst dial, Japanese Kanji day-date display, fluted bezel, new leather strap and 3-month guarantee.
Model History:
The first Seiko 5 was introduced in 1963, establishing a practical formula built around five attributes: automatic winding, a day-date display, water-resistant construction, a recessed crown and a durable case design.
Reference 5126-8050 belongs to a comparatively short-lived generation of Seiko 5 watches produced by Daini Seikosha during the late 1960s. Its origin is indicated by the small lightning-bolt emblem above six o’clock. The model combines an elegant silver sunburst dial with a prominent fluted bezel, giving it a more refined and dress-oriented appearance than many everyday Seiko 5 models.
This example was manufactured in June 1968 and is powered by the 23-jewel calibre 5126A.

The watch is presented in attractive vintage condition. Its silver sunburst dial retains a strong radial finish and changes subtly depending on the angle of the light. The applied baton hour markers, dauphine-style hands, framed day-date aperture and printed details remain clearly defined.
The dial is well-preserved overall and displays only a few small age-related marks and light surface imperfections upon close inspection. The applied hour marker at 12 o’clock shows visible surface wear, while the remaining markers and the hands are generally well preserved. The Japanese Kanji day display provides a distinctive detail associated with the watch’s domestic-market configuration.
The stainless-steel case shows scratches, small marks and normal signs of previous wear. Its polished surfaces remain bright, while the characteristic fluted bezel retains good definition and gives the watch an elegant, classic appearance. The case back also displays scratches and surface wear, while the reference and serial-number engravings remain legible.
The acrylic crystal has been polished and provides a clear view of the dial. Minor residual surface imperfections may remain visible under close inspection or in certain lighting conditions.
A new black leather strap has been fitted. The calibre 5126A automatic movement has been serviced and is functioning correctly. A 3-month guarantee is provided on functionality.
I aim to capture the condition of the watch accurately. Please make sure to review the pictures closely before bidding.
