Vintage Anatolian Yoruk Kilim - Rust Red and Orange Striped Geometric Design - 254 x 122 cm

Description

This vintage Anatolian Yoruk kilim, approximately 70 years old, stands out for its warm earthy palette and distinctive geometric composition.

The design is built around a striking central field in deep rust red, decorated with a bold arrangement of dark blue geometric forms. Angular triangular motifs frame this central panel, while the surrounding areas feature closely spaced horizontal stripes in orange, terracotta, muted green, dusty pink and beige. The combination of linear patterns and angular shapes creates a balanced design with a strong traditional character.

The central motif resembles a cross-like geometric arrangement, presented as part of the kilim's overall decorative vocabulary rather than assigned a specific symbolic meaning. Its bold contrast against the reddish ground gives the piece a distinctive visual identity.

With its elongated proportions and rich colours, this kilim can work beautifully in a hallway, entrance, study or living space. It is also suitable for collectors and enthusiasts of traditional Anatolian textiles who appreciate vintage pieces with expressive patterns and an authentic handmade appearance.

The kilim has been professionally washed and is ready for its next home.
