Ένα διακριτικό ιαπωνικό πήλινο μπολ (chawan), συν acompagned by its original wooden storage box (tomobako), reflecting a deep appreciation for rustic aesthetics and traditional craftsmanship.

This piece is distinguished by its elegant celadon-style glaze, featuring a beautiful network of crackle lines (kannyu) that traverse the surface. The glaze has a subtle, muted green tone that evokes a sense of antiquity and tranquility.

The bowl features a unique wavy or lobed rim, adding a dynamic organic shape to the form. The exterior surface shows signs of intentional texture, including a small applied clay detail, while the base reveals the raw, reddish-brown clay body, creating a striking contrast with the smooth interior glaze. This interplay of textures invites quiet contemplation in line with the aesthetics of wabi-sabi.

Each detail reflects careful craftsmanship, from the hand-formed shape to the controlled firing that produced this consistent yet lively surface. The presence of a signed tomobako further supports its origin as a preserved studio work.
