Get your hands on this serviced 1974 Citizen Leopard 28800 ref. 4-771192 Y with emerald-green gradient dial, 24-jewel Hi-Beat movement, original bracelet, original faceted crystal and 3-month guarantee.
Model History:
Introduced around 1969, the Citizen Leopard collection represented one of the brand’s higher-grade mechanical ranges. Leopard models were distinguished by their fast-beating movements, with different versions operating at either 28,800 or 36,000 vibrations per hour, as well as by their characteristically bold early-1970s designs.
Manufactured in February 1974, this example features an especially striking emerald-green gradient dial and an original multi-faceted crystal. Its calibre 7700 operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and combines automatic winding with manual winding, hacking seconds and an unusual crown-operated quickset calendar.

The watch is presented in attractive vintage condition, with a particularly striking emerald-green gradient dial. Its colour changes considerably according to the lighting and viewing angle, ranging from bright emerald and turquoise-green tones at the centre to much darker green around the outer edge. The sunburst finish and original faceted crystal further enhance this changing visual effect.
The dial is well preserved overall, with clear printing, an applied Citizen logo and gold-tone applied hour markers. A few small age-related marks and surface imperfections are visible under close inspection. The hands and applied markers show light ageing and minor surface wear consistent with the age of the watch.
The original faceted mineral crystal has been polished and remains clear and visually impressive. Some fine scratches, polishing traces and small surface imperfections remain visible, particularly along the facets and outer edges. Please note that the polishing has slightly softened the originally sharp edges between the individual facets. Nevertheless, the crystal retains its distinctive geometric appearance and continues to enhance the changing colours of the dial.
The stainless-steel case displays scratches, small marks and light scuffs consistent with previous use. Its angular 1970s profile remains well defined, and the contrasting brushed and polished surfaces are still clearly visible. The signed Citizen crown is present.
The stainless-steel case back shows scratches and normal age-related wear, while the calibre designation, reference number, serial number and other factory engravings remain clearly legible.
The original Citizen stainless-steel bracelet and signed clasp display scratches and normal signs of previous use, together with some age-related movement between the links.
The calibre 7700 automatic movement has been fully serviced and is functioning correctly. A 3-month guarantee is provided on functionality.
I aim to capture the condition of the watch accurately. Please make sure to review the pictures closely before bidding.
The watch has been completely serviced by a professional watchmaker and tested for full functionality. The water resistance of the watch cannot be guaranteed.
