Serviced 1965 Seiko Seikomatic Weekdater ref. 6206-8100 with silver sunburst dial, full English weekday display, 26-jewel automatic movement and new leather strap.
Introduced during the early 1960s, the Seikomatic collection represented one of Seiko’s higher-grade automatic watch ranges of the period. These watches combined refined Japanese styling with well-finished automatic movements and practical calendar complications.
The Seikomatic Weekdater is distinguished by its unusual calendar layout, featuring a conventional date window at three o’clock and a separate full weekday display above six o’clock. Manufactured in September 1965, this example combines the characteristic Weekdater display with an elegant silver sunburst dial and a substantial stainless-steel case.

Condition:
The watch is presented in good vintage condition and retains the elegant appearance characteristic of the Seikomatic Weekdater collection. The silver sunburst dial displays an attractive radial finish that changes subtly depending on the angle and lighting.
The applied baton hour markers, dauphine-style hands, Seiko emblem and printed dial details remain clearly presented. The dial shows some light age-related marks and surface ageing visible under close inspection, but remains attractive and highly legible. The separate date and full weekday apertures provide a distinctive and balanced calendar layout.
Some numerals on the date disc display mild age-related discolouration or patina. This is cosmetic, and the date remains clearly legible.
The stainless-steel case shows scratches, small marks and general wear consistent with its age and previous use. The polished bezel also displays surface scratches and signs of wear, while the case retains its attractive proportions and characteristic angular lugs.
The case back shows scratches and age-related surface wear. Its original dolphin emblem and surrounding inscriptions have softened through use but remain visible, while the reference and serial number are still legible.
The acrylic crystal has been polished and provides a clear view of the dial. Some fine residual marks or polishing traces may remain visible under close inspection and at certain angles.
A new black leather strap has been fitted. The automatic movement has been serviced, and the timekeeping, date and full weekday indications are operating correctly.
Please take a close look at the photos before placing a bid, as they are an important part of the description. I do my best to show the condition of each item as clearly as possible.
The item will be shipped from Hungary carefully packaged, with tracking and insurance.
Thank you for your interest and good luck with the auction.
