This is a classic chess set featuring a board crafted from solid wood with intricate inlays and a rich, layered grain. The chess pieces are made of zinc alloy, finished in a striking contrast of silver and antique bronze; they boast a sleek, substantial design and a satisfying, weighty feel in the hand. The board doubles as a storage case—lifting the lid reveals a felt-lined interior with dedicated, form-fitted slots for each piece, ensuring they remain securely in place and protected from friction or impact during transport and storage. The underside of the board is lined with green felt, which prevents slipping and protects the surface of the table. Please note that the pieces are not magnetic. The set is in near-new condition.
