Ancient Roman Glass Unguentarium with Collared Neck

This free-blown glass bottle features a squat globular body and tall cylindrical neck, finished with a wide flared rim and an applied ring-trail collar around the neck.
In the Roman world, glass bottles like these served a variety of purposes. They were commonly used for storing and transporting liquids such as oils, perfumes, or medicines. The versatility of glass as a material allowed for the creation of containers that were both functional and visually straightforward.
