Εντυπωσιακό κολιέ με αρχαία κορινθιακά πετράδια (περίπου 500 ετών)

This is a necklace with ancient carnelian (or red agate) beads, beautifully strung. Very wearable, and a great gift!

- Length: 51 cm
- Weight: 150 grams
- Stone: red agate/carnelian
- Professionally restrung with a sterling silver clasp and spacer beads
- Origin: Mali
- Age: most of the beads were made in Cambray (India) ca 500 years ago. These were hand polished. They arrived in West-Africa by the trans-African trade routes.
- 5 beads (the faceted ones with the sharper edges) were made in Idar Oberstein ca 1880 for the trade with West-Africa.
- The beads are in very good used condition. Some of these beads have traveled at least three continents. Corrosion, pitting and chips are a normal part of their patina attesting to their age and extensive use.
