Description
A rare, large-format original colour portrait of Ringo Starr, photographed by acclaimed British showbusiness photographer Bill Zygmant, one of the key image-makers of the 1960s and early 1970s.
This is an original photographer’s print, personally printed and signed by Bill Zygmant. It comes directly from Zygmant’s own private collection, inherited by the seller, who knew Bill personally.
The signature is located on the lower right of the mount.
Ringo is shown wearing his distinctive late-1960s polka-dot scarf and jacket — a period look documented in only a handful of surviving colour photographs by Zygmant. These early colour portraits of him are scarce, especially in this large format and signed.
This piece is ideal for collectors of Beatles memorabilia, 1960s culture, vintage photography, or anyone building a serious archive of original photographic prints.
