Art Brut/Singulier Auction (Art & Patrimoine)

This auction gathers various French artists which belong to a very specific art movement that is on the rise: Outsider Art. At the origins of this art, there were artists misjudged as "naïve" such as Le Douanier Rousseau or Séraphine de Senlis. In the mid-century, Jean Dubuffet coined the word "Art Brut" for describing this art which unfollows the strict guidelines of the Academy.
