De Nyhavn wandlamp is ontworpen door Alfred Hofmann en Ole Kjaer en het resultaat van een prijsvraag uitgeschreven door Louis Poulsen voor het ontwerpen van een nieuw model buitenland. 

De lamp is ontworpen in de klassieke stijl en vorm. Het licht dat door de lamp wordt uitgestraald, wordt naar beneden uitgestraald en aan de zijkant diffuus verspreid. 

Deze lamp heeft in een huis gehangen in Denemarken en is nog geheel in de originele koperen uitvoering. Wanneer de lamp buiten hangt komt er een prachtig patina op de lamp en zal hij heel mooi groen verkleuren. 

De lamp steekt 44,5 cm uit de muur. De lamp zelf is 31 cm diep en 21,5 cm hoog. De muurplaat is 12 cm. 

Dit is een exemplaar van ongeveer 30 jaar oud. De lamp wordt nu nog uitgebracht en kost dan ongeveer 1700 euro. Alle bevestigingsmaterialen zijn aanwezig. 

De lamp is gemerkt met de originele Poulsen sticker.
