Ca. 1953-1955 Original old vintage mechanical calculator "Hamann Manus R" produced by DeTeWe Communications GmbH in Berlin, Germany. Inventor: Christel Hamann. This concerns a much sought after collector’s item that has its place in the history of the computer and can therefore be seen in some Science museums. Hamann Manus R is a mechanical calculator with cogs (ratchet - geared wheel) and nine input levers with red and white caps. Functions: addition, subtraction, manual multiplication, automatic division. Serial number of this copy: 43 589 (rather low - thus earlier production). - Dimensions: 26 cm long, 16 cm wide and 15 cm high. - Weight: 5.9 kg. - See photos for a further impression.
