Very nice cavalry pistol built around 1730-1740, by N. Huart, an arquebusier in Melun.
Brass trimmings, the butt cap features an eagle’s head and a sparrow’s head on the other side.
Butt is carved on the top and bottom, in very good condition
The barrel is engraved with rich floral motifs.
Quality weapon in a very well-preserved condition.
Very strong spring. The weapon holds the loaded and half-loaded positions well.
Walnut butt in good condition.
