This Colibri was produced by Thorens because Jbelo could not do this in the early 1930s. Thorens also produced the Alluma lighter, also a design by Julius Lowenthal who lived in London in 1934, his brother Benno Lowenthal then lived in Zurich, Switzerland. Before that, the Lowenthal family lived in Frankfurt, Germany. The patent of the Colibri kickstart is from 1929.
