Guido Andlovitz - Società Ceramica Italiana (SCI) - Laveno - Dessert or fruit service from the 1920s (7) - Porcelain Tender

A set of dessert or fruit plates produced in 1927 by the famous Società Ceramica Italiana (SCI) in Laveno, in the province of Varese (Italy), when the artistic director was Guido Andlovitz. The set, in soft-paste porcelain, with classic Art Deco motifs, consists of: - 6 small dessert or fruit plates (each plate has a diameter of 19 cm) - 1 large plate (diameter 26 cm). Used, in good condition, without cracks or chips (despite its 93 years of age). The gilding along the edges is slightly worn in some parts. The beautiful fruit designs change from plate to plate. In 1856, three technicians from the Giulio Richard factory in Milan founded the Società Ceramica Italiana in Laveno. In the 1920s, Guido Andlovitz became the artistic director of the manufacture and Antonia Campi succeeded him many years later. In 1965 the SCI was absorbed by the Richard Ginori company.
