A finely carved pipe made of meerschaum depicting Vercingetorix. This pipe was most probably made by one of the leading meerschaum sculptors: "Sommer Paris". Amber stem. Delivered with its original case. Made in France in the late 19th century - Distributed by A. Lancel in Marseille. In good overall condition given its age, some signs of age and wear, stains, marks, scratches, small dents, micro-scratches and small chips on the amber stem. The stem has been glued. The case is in acceptable condition, wear, deterioration, one of the fasteners is broken. The pictures are part of the description.
